Tottenham youngster Harry Winks is set to undergo a scan on his left leg in the next 24 hours, according to a report.
The Mirror report that the 21-year-old will soon learn his fate following his devastating injury setback during the 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.
Tottenham’s exciting young academy product damaged his ankle in a tackle with Burnley’s Stephen Ward, and ended up tumbling into the home dugout after losing his balance.
The serious-looking injury left the young midfielder in agony, requiring oxygen before he was stretchered off and taken to hospital.
The Premier League club are still sweating over the verdict on the injury, but the initial fears is that he could be out of the rest of the season, which would be an unfortunate end to a promising breakthrough campaign.

He looks likely to miss much of Tottenham’s crucial end of season run-in, where they will be looking to increase the pressure on league leaders Chelsea, as well as lift the FA Cup.
Winks has become a valuable player in the Tottenham first-team squad, despite only making his Premier League debut at the end of August.
He has struggled to displace the impressive first team midfield duo Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele, but he has regularly contributed off the bench.
The England U21 international has since made 33 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, including four appearances in the Champions League, contributing one goal and one assist.
In other Tottenham news, a BBC pundit believes the rise of this 23-year-old has been meteoric (not Kane).
