Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has revealed that he intends to spend his “entire” footballing career at the North London club.
The 24-year-old has been one of the most in-form strikers in European football which has led to speculation surrounding his long-term future at Spurs.
The England international currently has five years remaining at the club which would indicate that interested teams would need to splash the cash in order to acquire his services.
Speaking in an interview with German publication Bild, Kane reassured Spurs fans that his future lies with them and he is prepared to spend the remainder of his career with them.
“My goal is to play my entire career only for Tottenham,” he said.
“We have a fantastic team, a great coach, a professional training centre and we’re getting a new stadium.
“At the moment, everything suits me here and I’m happy.”
This is a huge boost for Mauricio Pochettino and his side as Kane is one of the principal reasons why Tottenham have become genuine Premier League contenders over the last couple of seasons.
The striker has been in sensational form this season, notching up 13 goals in just 15 appearances in all competitions.
However, Kane was unable to prevent Spurs from suffering a disappointing defeat in the North London derby on Saturday.
Spurs, and Kane in particular, will be hopeful that they can bounce back when they face Borussia Dortmund in midweek in the Champions League.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs are reportedly in a battle to land £20million-rated youngster in January.
