Nathan Oduwa could leave Tottenham after rejecting a contract offer from the club, according to a report.

The 20-year-old winger is a member of Spurs’ development squad but had loan spells at Rangers and Colchester this season to gain first-team experience.

According to Sky Sports, Oduwa has rejected the three-year deal that the Londoners offered him last September and he is hoping to impress a new club while playing for Nigeria in the Olympic Games this summer.

Intriguingly, it is said that Oduwa has been urged by his agent to sign the contract, but the player and his family believe he could be playing and earning more elsewhere.

His current agreement expires in the summer of 2017 and should his contact stalemate continue then he could leave as a free agent in little over 12 months.

The winger, who has played for England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-20 level is expected to be part of Nigeria’s Under-23 squad at Rio 2016.

He made 19 appearances while on loan at Scottish giants Rangers in the first half of this season, and then played just two matches in two separate short, loan spells at League One club Colchester.

Oduwa becomes the second promising young Spurs player to turn down a contract offer from the club in hope of a more lucrative deal.

The future of highly rated academy starlet Marcus Edwards, 17, is also in doubt after he was offered a professional contract from the club he joined aged eight.

In other Tottenham news, it has been reported that Bayern Munich have a “crush” on a 22-year-old Spurs ace.
