Tottenham boss Conte 'angry' with Kane decision after talkSPORT reveal - pundit
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte may be angry with Gareth Southgate after Harry Kane started both of England’s World Cup Qualifiers, according to Kevin Campbell.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Arsenal and Everton forward claimed Conte, 52, “cannot be upset” by the decision though as Kane is the England captain.
Kane scored back-to-back hattricks during the international break in wins over Albania and San Marino.
In the process, the Spurs striker went level with Gary Lineker in the Three Lions’ all-time scoring charts.
However, in the Premier League this season, Kane has been far from his best.
Speaking to talkSPORT on November 11th, England’s captain detailed how he is “excited to work with Conte” as he believes the Italian manager can improve his game.

When asked by Football Insider if the striker’s international exertions would hamper of benefit him, Campbell said:“Well, Kane is England captain.
“If I’m honest with you, Conte cannot be upset about anything. He might well be angry at the decision to start Kane in both games but he shouldn’t be.
“Kane is the England captain and he wants to break records. He’s been a phenomenal striker for England.
“It was the right thing to do because he broke a few records. Four goals? You will take that all day long.
“I don’t think the games would have been too taxing on his body either. They were against lesser opposition.”
Kane has just one goal and one assist to his name in 10 Premier League appearances this term.
It is a stark difference to the 23 goals and 14 assists he accumulated in 35 league appearances last season.
