Tottenham branded 'absolute disgrace' after 'unacceptable' development - expert
Tottenham were an “absolute disgrace” in their recent game against Nottingham Forest.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham crashed out of the Carabao Cup on 9 November, losing 2-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Antonio Conte named a strong XI with Harry Kane, Ivan Perisic and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg all in from the start.
Wenham is furious that Spurs are already out of one of the domestic cups.
“It was an absolute disgrace,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“We went very strong in this game. We didn’t see the likes of Pape Sarr or Djed Spence get the minutes we hoped they were going to get.
“Apart from Forster, that was a very strong Tottenham team that should have more than enough to beat a Nottingham Forest team that made nine changes on the night.
“Simply, we didn’t show up. We didn’t offer anything. It wasn’t our normal poor first half before turning things around in the second.
“It was an unacceptable performance for the fans who travelled up there, they deserve some success. When I saw the draw for the next round it just compounded my disappointment.
“Man City and Liverpool have drawn each other. Arsenal and Chelsea are out.
“This could have been a really good opportunity to end the trophy drought.
“We would have had Lincoln in the next round. So, so disappointing to already be out of one of the cups.”
