Tottenham could be ‘forced’ to sack Thomas Frank after unexpected ‘delay’
Tottenham have delayed a decision surrounding the future of Thomas Frank amid growing calls for him to be sacked after a dismal season.
Frank’s side drew 2-2 with Burnley last time out thanks to a late Cristian Romero equaliser, meaning they have now won just two of their last 14 league games.
Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham have been keen to back Frank despite their recent form, but could be forced into a decision.
Spurs have now dropped to 14th place in the league, just three points above Nottingham Forest in 17th, and are at risk of being dragged into a relegation battle.
Frank must now prepare to face Man City, Man United, Newcastle and Arsenal in his next four Premier League games which could decide his fate.

Tottenham could be forced to sack Thomas Frank
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 26 January that Frank will be sacked by Tottenham if they are dragged into a relegation battle in the near future.
It is difficult to see where their next result will come from, while chants of ‘sacked in the morning’ from his own supporters have done his position no favours.
“If things keep going the way they are, they won’t have a choice,” Brown told Football Insider.
“They’ve delayed things so far and wanted to stick with him, that’s why he’s still in the job, but it gets to a point where things have to change.
“He won’t have long left in the job if they don’t start winning games, but the problem is, it’s difficult to see where those wins are going to come from at the moment.
“On Saturday, they scored in the 90th minute to get a point away at Burnley.
“Let’s not discount Burnley, they drew with Liverpool, drew with Man United, so they’re a capable side but Tottenham shouldn’t be having to rescue points against them.
“The basic principles we talk about are not there with Tottenham. I don’t see stability at the back, I don’t see a reliability in goal, I don’t see regular goalscorers in the team.
“Thomas Frank isn’t getting the best out of these players, he isn’t getting results, the fans aren’t happy, and now they’re dropping further and further down the table.”
Why have Tottenham delayed sacking Frank?
Frank’s position as the Tottenham manager has been unstable for a number of weeks now, with many deeming it untenable due to recent results.
However, Football Insider revealed on 26 January that Spurs are delaying sacking Frank due to concerns about landing his potential replacement.
The club’s hierarchy believe they will struggle to prise a top target away from their job in the middle of the season and may be forced to wait until the summer.

Football Insider previously revealed that Tottenham could appoint an interim manager until the end of the season, with that currently the preferred option.
However, there are a shortage of available and capable managers who can steer them away from what has become a perilous position in the Premier League.
