Kieran Maguire: Tottenham could miss out on 'massive' finance boost after Kane news
Tottenham could be set to miss out on a “massive“ sponsorship boost if Harry Kane wins the Euros and leaves the club this summer.
That is according to finance boffin and Football Insider columnist Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively after this site revealed the lastest in the Kane transfer saga.
Football Insider revealed yesterday (9th July) that Man United have moved into pole position to sign the 28-year-old following developments behind the scenes.
The north London club have asked for £100million plus two first-team stars as part-exchange for the superstar whose contract expires in 2024.
England skipper Kane was on target as they edged out Denmark 2-1 on Wednesday to reach a first major tournament final in 55 years.
And Maguire claims that the Spurs talisman will attract a wave of sponsorship deals if they are succesful against Italy in the final on Sunday.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “If Harry Kane is the England captain who lifts the trophy on Sunday, he becomes as iconic as Bobby Moore in ’66.
“Wherever he is next season, commercial partners would be desperate to get him alongside their products.
“So not only would it be uplifting for the nation, it would be massive on a local financial level too.
“These players who have delivered and had a major impact on the tournament, the likes of Sterling and Kane, can expect to see things of this nature take place.“
Kane has netted four times at this summer’s Euros.
His goal against Denmark draws him level with Gary Lineker for the most goals scored by an England player at major tournaments.
