Dele Alli could be offered by Tottenham in part-exchange for ‘exceptional’ 27-year-old in January – pundit
Kevin Phillips has tipped Tottenham to offer Dele Alli to Everton in part-exchange for Jordan Pickford.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Sunderland and England striker claimed Alli, 25, could be crucial to getting a deal for Pickford, 27, “over the line” next year.
According to The Telegraph (18 November), Tottenham have set their sights on signing Pickford to replace Hugo Lloris, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Football Insider revealed on September 28th that Spurs plan to sell Dele Alli next summer.
Sources then explained the attacking midfielder is difficult to manage behind the scenes.
When asked by Football Insider if Alli could be used as a makeweight in a deal for Pickford, Phillips said: “Yes, Alli could be used as part of that deal.
“That is something the board and powers that be have probably discussed.
“For me, Dele Alli’s time at Tottenham is up. I have said that for a while now. Even with Conte coming in, I think his time is up.
“The style of play and intensity Conte wants is not suited to Alli’s game. I cannot see him playing much.
“He could be included in part of the deal for Pickford and that could be what gets it over the line.
“I think Conte wants Jordan because of his distribution. It’s exceptional at times. He can ping it with that left foot and drop it straight into centre-forwards.
“Everton could do with an attacking midfielder. It will be interesting to see how that one unfolds.”

Alli is yet to start a match under Antonio Conte.
He has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract in north London.
