Hitchen has 'already lost faith' in Nuno after Tottenham source reveal - pundit
Division behind the scenes at Tottenham will only make Nuno Espirito Santo’s job harder.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the latest developments in the Spurs boardroom.
This site revealed on 4 October that head of technical performance Steve Hitchen has privately washed his hands of Nuno’s appointment.
The Portuguese was hired on 30 June after a 10-week managerial hunt that saw an almost endless number of candidates come and go.
The search was initially led by Hitchen before he was usurped by new managing director Fabio Paratci.
Nuno did not feature in Hitchen’s thoughts when he was in charge but was ultimately appointed once Paratici took the reins.

A Tottenham source told this site that Hitchen’s private stance is that the appointment was “nothing to do with him”.
Nuno has had a mixed start to life in North London and his side are currently 8th in the league after seven matches.
Kenny insists that the civil war brewing behind the scenes is bad news for Spurs.
“It’s not good when things like this are coming out,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“Everyone needs to be pulling in the same direction and wanting the same goal at the end of the season.
“They want to be competing at the top end of that table and winning things regularly.
“If you’ve got a director saying he’s washed his hands of his appointment, it looks like he’s already lost faith in him.
“I don’t know why he’s letting things like this get out. Keep it to yourself.
“It’s just putting the manager under more pressure and making his job even harder. It’s disappointing that one, if I’m totally honest.”
