Tottenham expected starting XI v Newport: Fan favourite starts as Poch rings changes

Erik Lamela (Attacking midfield) – Lamela made a big difference for Spurs when he came on against Liverpool, creating lots of space up front and winning the late penalty that sealed a precious point. The Argentine has mostly been resigned to the bench since his return from injury, but is expected to start on Wednesday.
Moussa Sissoko (Attacking midfield) – Sissoko has come in for a lot of stick for his displays in recent months for Spurs. The France international was particularly poor in his last start against Southampton, but he is expected to play in this cup tie.
Son Heung-Min (Attacking midfield) – With Eriksen and co likely to be rested, the mobility and pace of Son will be needed to provided some cut and thrust in attack. Likely to be the only starter at Anfield who keeps his place.
Fernando Llorente (Striker) – Llorente has had a torrid time since choosing to join Spurs over Chelsea in the summer window. The big Spaniard has scored just twice in 24 appearances in all competitions, but most of those minutes have come from the bench. He is expected to come in on Wednesday though, with Sunday’s hero Kane in need of a rest. Set to be the 10th of the changes made by Pochettino.
