Tottenham expert fumes as fans already 'disillusioned' with Antonio Conte - 'madness'
Tottenham fans should give Antonio Conte more credit for the work he has done since taking over the club last season.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham remain unbeaten in the Premier League after seven games but they did lose their second Champions League group stage clash to Sporting Lisbon on 13 September.
Wenham was left stunned by criticism of Conte in the wake of the defeat and insists fans should “trust the process”.
He claims “disillusioned” fans should compare their progress to the success of the current Man City side.
“The other point to mention is, after the Sporting game, I saw some people who had become disillusioned with the football being played by Tottenham,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Listen, nobody with a brain cell would say we are anywhere near Manchester City, nobody would, even staunch Tottenham fans.
“But the facts are, since the new calendar year and considering Conte only took over in November, Tottenham have taken 58 Premier League points.
“Manchester City have taken 60. There are two points in that. With the all-flying Man City that everyone gets excited about and the Haaland madness, winning the Premier League last season, there are only two points in it.
“We are now coming into mid-September and it shows the levels Conte is getting Tottenham to perform at.
“It’s well over two points-per-game average. I think people have to be patient and trust the process really.“
