Tottenham expert: 'Plenty of clubs' want to sign Troy Parrott after 'brilliant' development

Troy Parrott’s international goalscoring exploits will raise interest in him ahead of a loan move away from Tottenham.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Parrott, 20, scored as Ireland beat Scotland 3-0 in the UEFA Nations League on 11 June.

This came after a loan at MK Dons in the 2021-22 season in which he made 46 appearances for the club and scored 10 goals.

As quoted by RTE (18 June) the striker has admitted he will try to impress Antonio Conte when he returns to Spurs for pre-season.

Wenham insists plenty of clubs will be interested in the striker.

“It was brilliant to see Parrott get another goal,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Hopefully he can get a consistent run of games in the side now and as I have said before, I hope we can get a Championship loan sorted for him next season.

“He will come back for pre-season and a plan will be made.

“I’m sure there will be plenty of clubs who want him and scoring goals for Ireland will only generate more interest.”

On 31 March, The Athletic reported Parrott will be loaned out again next season as he is not considered a future first-teamer.

It was also claimed he has not spoken to Antonio Conte since he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo in November.

In other news, Tottenham have been backed to rival Liverpool with two more signings after a Yves Bissouma update.
