Tottenham expert tips Harry Winks to join Nottingham Forest after development
Nottingham Forest should make an offer for Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks after their opening day loss to Newcastle United.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Winks remains at Tottenham but out of Antonio Conte’s first-team plans after speculation regarding his future dried up.
The 26-year-old was not included in the matchday squad for Spurs’ opening day win over Southampton (6 August).
Wenham claims Forest could turn to Winks’ Premier League experience after a disappointing loss on their return to the Premier League.
“I was quite interested by the results of some of the new sides,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I have always said that further down the window, if these players have not moved on then that could become an option.
“I look at Nottingham Forest’s performance against Newcastle, from what I saw it could have been 10-0.
“There were so many chances in the first half. Hopefully, a door will open for Winksy at one of these clubs where they think they need a Premier League proven player to help them out.
“They could get Winks for £10million and there are reports about a big for Morgan Gibbs-White for significantly more money.”

Winks has only ever played for Spurs, joining the club’s academy in 2002 and making his senior debut in November 2014.
He has gone on to make 203 appearances for the club.
