Tottenham fans declare on Twitter who they want to start in place of Kane v Southampton
By Harvey Byrne
Tottenham fans on Twitter have called on Mauricio Pochettino to start Vincent Janssen against Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
The Spurs forward position is currently up for much debate with star man Harry Kane hobbling off the field with an ankle injury during Sunday’s 6-0 FA Cup win against Millwall.
Mauricio Pochettino has last weekend’s hat-trick star Son Heung-min as one option to replace his top scorer in the line-up, while summer signing Janssen is another.
Naturally, fans have also had their say on who should start upfront for the White Hart Lane clash and many are in agreement that Janssen should get the nod.
Some sections of the fan base have called for a formation change with the Holland international starting alongside someone else, while others have shared they’d like to see a natural striker upfront in place of Kane.

do you think he'll start Janssen ahead of Son on Sunday? I wanna see Janssen play, but Son scored a hat trick, tough one

I think he'll start Son but I'd prefer us to play with an out and out striker in Janssen.

I would start Janssen against Southampton. Leaving him on the bench after yesterday could very well kill whatever could be about to start

Janssen cost a pricey £17million in the summer, but he only bagged his first Tottenham goal from open play last weekend.
If he does get the starting spot against Southampton then he also will be eager to ensure he starts a scoring run for the club.
In other Tottenham news, Steve Nicol believes this player is not good enough for Spurs’ first team.
