'Steals a living', 'Jesus wept' - Twitter destroys Tottenham player after win v Palace

By Richard Parks
Tottenham fans took to Twitter to destroy Serge Aurier for his performance in their team’s 1-0 Premier League win against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The defender had a quixotic game after being selected ahead of Kieran Trippier to play at right-back by Mauricio Pochettino.
Aurier, 25, was guilty of three foul throws – the first time anyone has done that in Premier League history – and then a horrendous miss in the closing stages when the score was still 0-0.
The Ivory Coast international, who signed from Paris Saint-Germain last summer for £24million, has had a mixed season but was handed his 20th appearance of the campaign against Palace and has frequently got the nod over Trippier.
Aurier got forward regularly against a very defensive Palace side and was superbly placed at the 84-minute mark to put his side ahead when he arrived at the back post to meet a Ben Davies cross.
But, with the goal at his mercy, Aurier contrived to stand on the ball and fall over to leave Spurs fans tearing their hair out before Harry Kane saved his teammate’s blushes with a last-gasp header to win the match.
Football fans from all clubs took to social media to rip into Aurier.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

In other Tottenham news, it can be revealed the club are working on deals to sign up FIVE players, with three agreements virtually nailed on.
