Tottenham fans in agreement about Igor Tudor sack after ‘disgraceful’ Nottingham Forest defeat

Tottenham Hotspur fans have already seen enough from Igor Tudor’s spell in charge following a 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Tudor replaced Thomas Frank on an interim basis until the end of the season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in February.

Spurs, though, have not won a Premier League game under Tudor, with the north London club sitting just a point above the relegation zone.

Many fans were seen leaving early as Nottingham Forest boosted their own survival hopes with a deserved victory over Spurs, thanks to goals from Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Tudor is now facing the sack at Spurs, with a decision set to be made on his future during the international break.

Igor Tudor ‘must go’ after Nottingham Forest defeat

Spurs went into their crucial clash against Nottingham Forest, having drawn at Liverpool and beaten Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Whilst Spurs may have had the better of the first half, Tudor’s side looked beaten as soon as Gibbs-White’s effort snuck under the body of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

The Spurs fans were quick to take to social media to share their anger at Tudor and the Lilywhites, calling on the 47-year-old to be sacked immediately.

One fan said that the players should also be “embarrassed”, whilst another fan called the club “rotten” from top to bottom.

Another suggested that it isn’t just Tudor who should be sacked, with those in the boardroom also in trouble if they had their own way.

Leading contender named in Tottenham’s managerial search

Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Roberto De Zerbi is a favourite for the Spurs job.

Whilst Spurs would like to appoint a permanent manager at the end of the season, De Zerbi is available, having left French club Marseille by mutual consent in February.

The Italian has experience in the Premier League with Brighton, and he led the Seagulls to Europa League qualification for the first time in their history during his time at the club.

If Spurs do wait until the summer, then former boss Mauricio Pochettino would be their first choice to take over, although he is currently in charge of the USA national team.

Any managerial appointment will depend on whether Spurs can keep their Premier League status with just seven matches of the season remaining.
