‘Tottenham fans need to do what Everton counterparts did as serious issues continue’
Tottenham Hotspur should take inspiration from Everton in their fight to maintain their Premier League status.
That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes Spurs fans must get behind the team.
Spurs are just a point above the Premier League relegation zone with nine matches of the season remaining, and they face a trip to Liverpool next.
Spurs’ winless run could extend to 12 games in the Premier League if they fail to claim victory at Anfield, which would further increase their relegation fears.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – states that Spurs is a “very unhappy place” right now.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks the lack of momentum Spurs have is a “serious issue.”
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “It’s a very unhappy place. We saw against Crystal Palace, if anybody watched the game, that montage after the game of the fans desolate in the stadium and the stadium empty really showed how unhappy it was.
“I actually had to compare that with how the Everton fans have been handling the potential relegation for the last three seasons, really rallying round the team, giving them a big send-off from the training ground and at the arrival at the stadium.
“I really believe that helped, and I think that Spurs fans have now got to rally behind the team and get it going because they’re lacking momentum at the moment. It’s a serious issue.”

Lucas Bergvall bid expected
Sources have told Football Insider that Spurs will struggle to keep hold of Lucas Bergvall during the summer transfer window amid interest from rivals Chelsea.
Spurs are faced for a difficult summer window with the departures of multiple key players and rising stars expected.
Bergvall is one of Spurs’ brightest young talents, but the 20-year-old’s campaign has been disrupted by injury.
