Tottenham are reportedly on the verge of loaning attacking midfielder Josh Onomah to Aston Villa – and Spurs fans have delivered mixed verdicts.
Mirror correspondent Darren Lewis claimed on his personal Twitter account late on Thursday night that Villa have agreed the terms of a deal with Spurs for the England Under-20 international.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has previously been reluctant to sanction loan moves for players he regards as having the potential to play for the first team.
But he appears to have given the green light for Onomah to move to Villa Park days after Jack Grealish was ruled out for months with a kidney problem.
The White Hart Lane faithful are split between those who believe the move will help the 20-year-old develop and those who are concerned at the lack of arrivals to replace those heading out the exit door.

Could be good experience for Onomah. If true, it might also mean another CM like Rabiot, Kovacic, or Silva could be incoming. #COYS #THFC

My only concern is that Villa have been aggressively pursuing journeymen in a promo or bust season which may mean they don’t trust him.

If Onomah is going out on loan that would mean we’re bringing in another midfielder, right? RIGHT? @SpursOfficial #COYS #THFC

A loan for Onomah makes a lot of sense in terms of getting first team games but am surprised no Prem teams wanted him. #COYS

Onomah, 20, impressed as England won the World Cup this summer with a series of mature displays as a box to box midfielder.
He is yet to make his full Premier League debut for Spurs but has made 13 substitute appearances in the top-flight and seven starts in cup competitions since graduating from the club’s prolific academy.
In other Tottenham transfer news, an attacking midfielder has pulled out of training at a Premier League club after Spurs tabled a player exchange offer.
