Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Arsenal victory v Middlesbrough

Arsenal managed to beat Middlesbrough 2-1 on Monday night – and Tottenham fans were quick to mock their north London rivals on Twitter.

The Gunners managed to end their poor away form by winning at the Riverside in the Premier League.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were on the scoresheet for the visitors and it kept their top four hopes alive.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side are still 14 points adrift of second-placed Spurs and look destined to finish below them.

Spurs fans were keen on social media to mock the Gunners following their victory and feel their side are streaks ahead of them this season.

Arsenal moved up to sixth with their victory in the league and will now be focused on closing the seven-point gap to fourth-placed Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Spurs are more concerned with the title and have managed to crank up the pressure on leaders Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s side slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on weekend and Spurs’ form has seen them move just four points behind them.

The Premier League’s top two clash at the weekend in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley, where they will play the winners of Arsenal-Man City in the final.
