Tottenham are one of a number of clubs targeting Michy Batshuayi this summer – and the clamour to sign him increased on Twitter on Sunday night.

The Marseille striker came off the bench after 76 minutes of Belgium’s Euro 2016 clash against Hungary and scored with his first touch of the tournament to put his team 2-0 ahead on their way to a dazzling 4-0 win.

The victory booked Belgium’s place in the quarter-finals and demonstrated Batshuayi’s clinical touch, which has caught the eye of Europe’s leading clubs in recent months.

As revealed by Football InsiderTottenham have made the striker one of their priority targets this summer as they aim to beef up their forward line.

But they also face competition from the likes of West Ham for a player that his club Marseille value in the £30million-plus bracket.

The French club may be justified in their stance after he showed that his lack of game time at Euro 2016 has not dulled his sharp edge.
