‘Bad idea’, ‘Strange’ – Tottenham fans react to shock Pochettino decision v Manchester United
By Russell Edge
Tottenham fans have turned to social media to react to the shock exclusion of Davinson Sanchez from the starting XI for their clash with Manchester United on Saturday.
The club confirmed their line up via their official Twitter account, which confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino had made several changes from the club’s last league outing, which was a 4-1 win over Liverpool at Wembley.
Star striker Harry Kane picked up an injury against the Reds and was ruled out of the showdown at Old Trafford, while defenders Kieran Trippier and Sanchez both drop to the bench in favour of Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies.
Trippier has been in and out of the starting XI this season, battling it out with fellow right back Serge Aurier, but Sanchez’s exclusion will come as a shock to many, having appeared in every one of the club’s league matches since he arrived from Ajax in the summer.
The majority of fans were not impressed with Pochettino’s decision to leave him out of the side, and took to Twitter to voice their concerns.
