Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to step down from the club at the end of the season finally severing his ties with the club he has managed for the past 21 years.

The most successful manager in the Gunners history, the Frenchman took the North London from mediocrity to one of the biggest club’s in the Premier League and Europe.

But in recent seasons, the club has drifted away from the elite, apart from FA Cup victories, and it is Wenger’s decision today to step down that has got Tottenham fans talking.

The news was announced on the official Arsenal site.

Spurs supporters, by and large, did not how to take the news and couldn’t decide whether to make fun of their North London rivals or to be concerned about the decision.

There is a sentiment that with Spurs well and truly the top side in that area of London with the 68-year-old in charge the Gunners would not challenge them.
