Arsenal drew Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 – and Tottenham fans on Twitter have expressed their glee at the draw.

The Gunners finished top of their Champions League group A with 14 points from six matches.

They are so far unbeaten in the elite competition, earning four victories and two draws against cash rich Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.

Meanwhile, Munich finished in second in group D, winning four matches and losing two in their group which was topped by Atletico Madrid.

The name Bayern Munich is one that is held in high regard in football and brings fear on its own.

The Allianz Arena is also considered a fortress and Carlo Ancelotti’s side currently top the Bundesliga with 33 points after 14 fixtures.

Tottenham themselves have been knocked down to the Europa League knockout stages after finishing third in their group.

However, many supporters took note of Arsenal’s draw and fans on social media believe their north London rivals will soon be following them out of the tournament.
