Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Arsenal defeat at Liverpool

Arsenal were defeated 3-1 at Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday evening – and Tottenham fans took to Twitter to express their delight.
Arsene Wenger’s side once again came unstuck in a high profile encounter as they were blown away by an outstanding display by Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Liverpool secured the league double over Arsenal for the season thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Danny Welbeck’s second-half strike gave the visitors hopes of a securing at least a draw but Arsenal once again failed to deliver against top-four rival.
Liverpool’s win lifted them above Arsenal to climb to third in the Premier League table with a haul of 52 points from 27 league games.

By contrast, Wenger’s team have slipped to fifth and are now three points adrift of bitter rivals Spurs, who host Everton at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
The Tottenham faithful were delighted at Arsenal losing ground in the fiercely contested race for a Champions League place.

Spurs have a tally of 53 points from 26 league matches, three points more than Arsenal, who have finished above their near neighbours in the league every season during Arsene Wenger’s 20-year reign.
