Tottenham fans slam star who had a ‘nightmare’ performance vs Monaco

Tottenham picked up a point on their travels against Monaco, but one star did not impress supporters with his performance.

Spurs headed to Monaco unbeaten in the Champions League following their narrow win over Villarreal and draw at Bodo/Glimt, and that remains intact following a 0-0 draw at the Stade Louis II.

Thomas Frank though was looking for a reaction from Spurs’ 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Spurs were missing Cristian Romero due to injury for the trip to France whilst Frank decided to drop the likes of Djed Spence and Xavi Simons from the starting XI.

Pedro Porro was ‘shocking’ vs Monaco

Spurs fans took to social media to blast right-back Pedro Porro for his performance against Monaco.

Porro has given the ball 20 times. Most overrated player in the history of football,” one fan claimed.

Whilst another fan had some advice for the Spaniard: “Someone tell Porro to stop lobbing the ball into row z for no reason.

Porro is having a stinker of a game,” commented a fan.

A Spurs fan posted: “How many shots and passes is Porro gonna smash into the stands or the keeper’s hands tonight?”

“Porro been absolutely garbage this half,” one fan said.

Whilst another commented: “Porro is having one of those nights! Just woeful. Don’t think he’s completed a single pass.”

Porro not the only Spurs star to struggle at Monaco

Richarlison was criticised for his display against Bodo/Glimt last time round in the Champions League, and the Brazilian again endured a frustrating evening up-front.

Lucas Bergvall struggled in the middle of the park, giving up two errors which led to a shot on goal.

It may be a concern for Frank considering Spurs didn’t play well at Bodo/Glimt, and their next away match in the Champions League is at holders PSG.
