Tottenham fans told 'keep an eye' on Charlie Sayers after key development - expert
The development of young Tottenham star Charlie Sayers is “really impressive” and fans should keep an eye on him.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Sayers, 18, signed his first professional deal with Tottenham on 30 March.
Spurs confirmed the capture of Sayers on 7 December 2021 after he left Southend United.
He has now made a combined 11 appearances for Tottenham’s Under 23s and Under 18s.
Wenham has been blown away by the defender’s development.

“I think this deal was probably promised to him when he joined the club,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He joined in December and he has very quickly signed this pro deal.
“He has played a few games for the Under 23s so I imagine that pathway is already set out for him.
“In any case, he deserves this deal. His development has been really impressive.
“He was signed as a left-back but I’ve seen him play centre-back a few times and he’s impressed there as well.
“This looks like a really good pick up from the club and he’s one to keep an eye on for sure.”
Tottenham had been in the market for a young left-back after losing Dennis Cirkin, 19, to Sunderland in August, in a deal first revealed by Football Insider.
It is understood Sayers is a lifelong Spurs fan.
