Tottenham handed lucky escape as controversial Harry Kane footage drops on YouTube - expert
Alan Hutton has insisted Tottenham “got away with one” as Harry Kane’s equaliser against Leeds United on Saturday (12 November) was allowed to stand.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs defender said that although it was a good touch and finish from Kane, the goal should not have been allowed to stand.
As shown on Sky Sports (13 November), Clement Lenglet collided with Illan Meslier as the Spurs corner was delivered.
The ball then fell to Kane who made no mistake and put the it in the back of the net.
The seven goal thriller ended 4-3 to the Lilywhites.
Hutton has suggested that Leeds were unlucky that the goal was allowed to stand.

“Normally I think the goalkeepers get protection no matter what and if you touch them then it is a foul,” he told Football Insider.
“I do not think it has to be that strict but the one at the weekend was a foul for me.
“I think Lenglet has thrown himself in to try and get the ball. Meslier can’t get anywhere near it because of that and then it drops to Kane.
“It was a great touch and a good finish but I think that is a foul. I think they get away with that. I believe that was a foul.
“If he [Meslier] is not banged into I think he gets more of a fist on the ball and then who knows what happens.“
