Tottenham in 'advanced talks' to sign Djed Spence ahead of Arsenal - expert
Tottenham are at a “fairly advanced” stage in negotiations over Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
It was also reported Spurs have “held talks” over a potential deal.
Spence has burst onto the scene this season following a number of impressive performances for Forest.
Wenham was delighted by the update in the report and fully backs the potential signing.

“He’s another one I have been watching for a while because of all of these reports,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That report actually said Tottenham have held talks, so it sounds fairly advanced already.
“It looks like a £12million fee with Arsenal also looking to do a deal as well.
“£12million isn’t a huge fee, half of it can be paid by what we are probably going to get for Cameron Carter-Vickers.
“Spence has now played for England Under 21s and he plays in what is a problem position for us.
“It’s a signing I would definitely make and it would be great to get him ahead of Arsenal.”
According to ESPN (31 January), Tottenham saw two transfer deadline day bids for the wing-back rejected.
He has made 39 total appearances this season.
