Tottenham are currently in talks to sign Ajax centre-back Davinson Sanchez in a mega money deal, according to a recent report.
The Mirror has revealed that the north London club are confident of securing the 21-year-old for a club-record £35million.
The newspaper claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is currently in Amsterdam trying to secure a deal for the stunning defender.
The Colombian impressed at the Atletico Nacional academy before moving across to Europa League finalists, Ajax, last summer.
During his first season at the Dutch club the defender made a total of 46 appearances across all competitions where, in addition to displaying regular impressive performances on the backline, he scored six goals and provided two assists.

His magnificent debut season with the club led to the 21-year-old being named the club’s Player of the Year in addition to an international call up.
Sanchez made his debut for Colombia during his country’s World Cup qualifier against Argentina in November 2016.

With Tottenham’s criticism building around their complete lack of transfer activity during the current summer window, signing a proven defender like Davinson Sanchez would end much of the fans’ and club’s frustrations. The club had an excellent defensive record last season, but with Danny Rose out with a serious knee injury and Kyle Walker now a Man City defender a repeat might not be possible. Sanchez would provide the north Londoners with an incredibly strong centre-back and the confidence to press on with their Premier League hopes for the 2017/18 season. The signing would also reinstall faith in the Spurs boss after a slow and quiet transfer window, but the club will have to be convincing in their pursuit of the star as Sanchez still has four years remaining at Ajax.
