Tottenham insider fears Nuno error will allow McGinn to terrorise Tottenham

John McGinn could terrorise Tottenham just like Martin Odegaard did last weekend.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Odegaard ran riot against Tottenham in last weekend’s 3-1 derby loss as he found himself in acres of space in the midfield.

Spurs now face Aston Villa, looking for their first Premier League win since 29 August.

McGinn has made five league appearances for the Villains this season and scored against Watford on the opening day.

Wenham claims Nuno will be aware of McGinn’s ability to dictate play but fears he may not learn from the derby defeat.

“Against Arsenal, especially in the first half, we let Odegaard dictate play,” Wenham told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“He ran the show and we couldn’t get near him. I’m concerned the same thing could happen with McGinn.

“He is a very talented player and he can cause us problems. He’s the man we need to take care of.

“It’s those tactical errors we need to cut out. Nuno will be aware of that, it’s just whether he does anything about it.”

Tottenham have conceded three goals in each of their last three Premier League games.

However, they returned to winning ways with a 5-1 win over NS Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

In other news, Spurs have been tipped to sell a big name star to a newly promoted star in the next 12 months.
