Tottenham Insider: Sarr's value is skyrocketing amid new year reveal
Pape Sarr is becoming more valuable to Tottenham during his loan spell with Metz.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Sarr, who Wenham admits was signed as a midfielder, has been deployed on the left wing in recent games.
Tottenham confirmed the signing of Sarr on 27 August though he will remain on loan at Metz for this season.
Wenham has no problem with Sarr’s position change as it makes him more valuable to the club.
“He’s still a young player,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“If he is being developed in other positions that can only be beneficial for Tottenham.
“Tottenham did sign him as a midfielder, that’s an area we need more cover in with the future of some players uncertain.
“Him being trained in a left-wing position? I have no problem with that.
“That makes him more useful and valuable to Tottenham. He will be going to the African Cup of Nations next year.
“I will be watching a few of Senegal’s games to keep track of how he’s doing.
“In the summer he was wanted by a number of big clubs who all recognised his potential.
“Spurs got the deal for him by allowing him to return on loan, that was a smart move.
“It gives him another year of first-team football and a better chance to develop.
“I’m happy with the way he’s developing.”
