Tottenham insider thrilled Arsenal star man among multiple players out of derby - 'he's a big miss'
Tottenham can take advantage of the absence of Arsenal star Thomas Partey among their generally depleted squad during Sunday’s (16 January) north London derby.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Martin Odegaard missed Arsenal’s game against Liverpool on Thursday (13 January after testing positive for Covid.
He joins a growing list of Arsenal absentees with Thomas Partey, Nicolas Pepe and Mohamed Elneny current playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Granit Xhaka will also miss this weekend’s derby after being sent off against Liverpool.
Wenham insists Tottenham must take advantage with Arsenal set to line up in the derby with several key players missing.

“This is an enormous game,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Both clubs are going to be pushing for the top four this season.
“I was delighted to see Arsenal play so badly against Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
“They barely tested the keeper and I think they are really missing Partey who is now at AFCON.
“He’s been really impressive recently and he’s a big miss. You just had to look at the squad numbers as well.
“There are plenty of players missing. There are still a few covid cases around the club as well.
“It’s going to be hard work without Son but we simply cannot lose this game.
“It’s Arsenal at home and after being embarrassed by them earlier this season we must get revenge.”
Arsenal won the 26 September meeting between the sides 3-1.
The Gunners started the game with a flourish and were 3-0 up after 34 minutes.
