Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to terminate Josh Onomah’s loan from Tottenham.
Supporters’ frustration with the England Under-20 international boiled over in the wake of Villa’s 1-1 Championship draw against Preston North End on Tuesday night.
Onomah had a quiet game after being recalled to the starting XI and playing the full 90 minutes of the fixture.
Villa fans have been subsequently active on social media, calling on the Midlands giants to rip up the attacking midfielder’s season-long loan and send him back to White Hane Lane.
Here is a selection of the messages on Twitter:
It’s when we don’t have the ball, that Onomah is the problem! Jogs lazily. Never tried to win it back if he loses it. Looks like he thinks he’s above all of this. Get rid.

The problem imo with Onomah is the consequences of not going up don’t really affect him. He probably knows he’ll go back to Spurs with a “decent” report card. Will he care that staff at #AVFC will lose their jobs or contracted players will lose out on bigger deals? Honestly, no.

Need to do something and a start would be to Onomah back to spurs

Yeah onomah head is at Spurs i believe he wasn’t even jumping for headers. Hourinhe is the only one who was trying to win the ball.

I’d still have Axel, rate him. But Onomah can rot at spurs ???? I mean We gave Davis a chance and he did well, just need to trust the players more

Onomah, 20, has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Villa this season, which have yielded four goals and a single assists, with all four strikes coming in league matches.
He arrived at the Championship big hitters with 32 Tottenham first-team appearances under his belt, including in the Premier League and Champions League competitions
In other Tottenham news, it can be exclusively revealed that a centre-back has agreed contract terms with Spurs.
