‘Tottenham set to step up Jack Grealish interest amid Morgan Gibbs-White setback’
Tottenham have been rocked by the news that key transfer target Morgan Gibbs-White has signed a fresh deal with Nottingham Forest.
After Spurs triggered a £60million release clause in the 25-year-old’s contract, Nottingham Forest considered legal action over the move.
However, the East Midlands club ended the saga by handing Gibbs-White a new deal on Saturday, 26 July, keeping him at the City Ground until 2028.
Now that they have missed out on the former Wolves man, Tottenham will have to look elsewhere to sign a playmaker.

Tottenham will swoop for Grealish as a Gibbs-White alternative
Away from their previous interest in Gibbs-White, Tottenham have eyed a move for Jack Grealish, who has fallen out of favour at Manchester City.
The England international previously played a key role as Pep Guardiola’s men won the treble in 2023, but went on to make just seven Premier League starts last season.
After missing out on Gibbs-White, Tottenham can now make a swoop for Grealish, while Man City are keen to part company with the former Aston Villa captain.

Grealish addition would be ideal for Thomas Frank rebuild

Tottenham’s previous interest in Gibbs-White shows that Thomas Frank wants to sign a new playmaker after succeeding Ange Postecoglou in the Spurs dugout.

While Gibbs-White is an out-and-out attacking midfielder, whereas Grealish has largely operated on the wing in recent seasons, the ex-Villa ace can thrive for the North Londoners.
His versatility could be key for a Tottenham outfit who have encountered several injury problems, while he can produce strong performances in the ‘number 10’ position.
Grealish impressed when playing in the hole as England defeated Ireland 2-0 in Dublin last September during Lee Carsley’s largely positive interim spell as Three Lions boss.
Furthermore, the Man City man boasts a strong tendency to complete successful dribbles, often drawing fouls from Premier League defenders.
Such qualities could prove vital for a Tottenham side that often struggled to control games last season and finished just 17th in the top-flight table.
