Tottenham must make big change after 'crippling' BBC reveal pre-Mura - pundit

Tottenham have no chance of finishing in the top six on current form after their “crippling” stats were revealed.

That is the view of former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Nuno Espirito Santo’s side’s struggles this month.

Spurs are in desperate need of three points tonight when they take on Mura in the Europa Conference League.

The Lilywhites have failed to win in 90 minutes in their last five fixtures across all competitions following a 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Sunday.

“The crazy thing is, after three games nobody was talking about the stats. They were top of the league and nobody cared about the stats.

“The moment things don’t go your way, people start delving into the stats and everything is crippling for you.

“Nuno is a good manager. He has to try and be level. He needs to find the right balance. It was clear from the game against Arsenal that the balance was not right.

“You will never see a top-six side 20th in the running charts or chances created etc. The big teams are never at the bottom. The best teams do well in possession but they also work tirelessly out of it.”
