Tottenham next manager: Roberto De Zerbi named odds-on favourite
Tottenham Hotspur manager have been tipped to appoint Roberto De Zerbi ready for the 2026-27 campaign, with the manager becoming the odds-on favourite.
The Italian has been out of work since leaving Marseille earlier in 2026, but has been heavily linked to the role at Spurs.
These rumours have increased over the international break, with Igor Tudor’s position looking untenable at present.
Now, one bookmaker has priced De Zerbi to become Tottenham’s manager for the 2026-27 campaign at 4/5, with Oddschecker confirming that these odds have been slashed.
Now, Football Insider has examined whether De Zerbi is capable of building a successful Tottenham squad in the summer.

VISIT THE MANAGER HUBRoberto De Zerbi would face a mammoth Tottenham rebuild in the summer
If De Zerbi were brought through the door, no doubt what division Tottenham are in, the summer transfer window could make or break his career at the club.
Multiple Spurs players need moving on, with the squad lacking serious quality in almost every area.

Luckily, De Zerbi has proven to be extremely talented at completely rebuilding sides, as shown in his work at Brighton.
During his reign, he lost the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and Robert Sanchez.
However, these stars were replaced, with the incoming money used to bring in the likes of Joao Pedro, James Milner and Bart Verbruggen.
Therefore, as long as De Zerbi can repeat this trick in the summer, Tottenham could see the quality in their squad skyrocket which could help them get back up the Premier League table or out of the Championship as soon as possible.
Would De Zerbi join Tottenham before the end of the season?
Football Insider has exclusively revealed that De Zerbi is reluctant to take over Tottenham at present, given their ongoing relegation battle.
The manager would rather wait until the summer before accepting the role.
The former Brighton boss is reportedly high on Tottenham’s shortlist, with his previous work in the Premier League not going unnoticed.
However, this decision could force Spurs to appoint yet another interim manager if Tudor is given the boot, with De Zerbi unwilling to commit to the role yet.
It remains to be seen if this will put Tottenham off pursing the Italian further as they look to avoid relegation to the Championship.
