Tottenham now want to sign Pedro Neto as Fabio Paratici ‘blown away’ – sources

Liverpool and Tottenham are among the top sides keen on a potential summer swoop for Wolves star Pedro Neto, sources have told Football Insider.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that “almost every club in the big six” is keen on landing the 24-year-old, with Spurs now joining Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Newcastle some of the other possible suitors.

It is believed that Tottenham transfer fixer Fabio Paratici is among those at the club who have been blown away by Neto this season.

Wolves may have to sell players in order to do business of their own in the summer window – with Financial Fair Play regulations still a big concern at Molineux.

It is believed the Midlands club are not likely to stand in Neto’s way if their valuation of the Portugal international is met this summer.

Football Insider has previously revealed (12 February) that Wolves are looking for bids of between £50-60million for the former Braga and Lazio man.

Neto is under a long-term contract valid until June 2027 – meaning Gary O’Neil’s side are able to demand a massive fee for one of their star players.

The winger has struggled with serious injuries in the past few seasons but has been back to his best in the 2023-24 campaign with a series of dazzling displays and has taken his game to a whole new level.

Neto has notched three goals and 11 assists across 23 games in all competitions this term.

He has managed 14 goals and 24 assists over 134 appearances in total since coming to England with Wolves in 2019.

Arsenal previously explored a deal in 2022 but other top sides – like Liverpool, Man City, Newcastle and Tottenham – are now ready to do battle for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Neto is primarily a right winger but has played as an attacking midfielder, left winger and centre forward for Wolves this season.
