Tottenham: Odds slashed for Adi Hutter to be named next manager as Igor Tudor exit plotted

Tottenham Hotspur are contemplating yet another change in the dugout in a last-gasp effort to stay in the Premier League.

Interim manager Igor Tudor was appointed in February, but has failed to produce a single Premier League win.

Of the five league matches the Croatian has taken charge of, Tottenham have drawn just one, losing the rest.

Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest felt like a turning point for many, with the international break now providing a potential chance of further change.

Adi Hutter is the latest name tipped to be the next Tottenham manager, with the Austrian available after leaving Monaco in October.

Bookmakers slash Adi Hutter odds after new report

Former scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider on Monday that Tudor’s sack is imminent at Tottenham amid a terrible performance on Sunday.

The Lilywhites were bettered in every area of the pitch, and ultimately humiliated by a team previously without a Premier League win since January.

Tottenham’s winless run extends back into December, with their narrow 1-0 win under Thomas Frank at Selhurst Park coming an astonishing 13 games ago.

With the remaining seven fixtures featuring the likes of Sunderland, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Everton, the North London club are in need of a miracle.

Decision-makers may hope that a final hope could arrive in the form of one last desperate change, with the Telegraph reporting that Tottenham have made contingency plans to replace Tudor with Hutter.

The 56-year-old spent two full seasons with Monaco, guiding them to second and third place in Ligue 1.

After a run of one win in five games across all competitions at the start of the season, the French club sacked Hutter – a decision considered extremely harsh by many fans.

One major bookmaker has slashed his odds of being in charge for the first game of next season to just 16/1 amid the news, while Mauricio Pochettino continues to lead the race at 3/1.

Hutter comments should excite Tottenham fans

Tottenham fans have been subjected to boring and frankly terrible football throughout the season.

First Frank and then Tudor have failed to produce anything exciting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with much of the idea seemingly revolving around what the other team do.

Hutter may be the man to change that. Speaking to the Guardian in February 2025, he said: ” For me, football is entertainment. I hate boring football: 15 passes around the backline and then back to the goalkeeper.

“I like to play an inspiring brand of football. It doesn’t mean you win every game but the spectators expect you to play forward.”

Tottenham need far more than just entertainment at the moment, but it certainly would not hurt.
