Tottenham plan to accept £25m Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg bid – sources

Tottenham want between £20-25million for midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that Serie A clubs, including giants Juventus, are still monitoring Hojbjerg, 28, following their interest in the January transfer window.

Well-placed sources told Football Insider (29 March) that Spurs plan to accept an appropriate offer for the Denmark international this summer.

His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025, but the Lilywhites are still expected to demand a hefty fee in the off-season.

Hojbjerg is also willing to depart the club after four years of service amid a lack of game time, with the former Southampton ace speaking out last week declaring that he is unhappy with his minutes under manager Ange Postecoglou.

He was close to a move to Juventus last winter, but Football Insider revealed at the time (8 January) that it collapsed due to disagreements regarding Tottenham’s loan fee demands.

The midfielder’s last league start came two months ago (3 February) in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Everton and he has since played just 51 minutes in the Premier League.

He joined from Southampton for a reported £15million in the summer of 2020, meaning Tottenham are seeking to make a profit on the wantaway.

The club have already begun their summer transfer plans, with Football Insider revealing (29 March) that they have prioritised signing Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White and a new striker this summer.
