Tottenham are interested in a late move to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, according to a report.
The Daily Mirror claim that Spurs are in a tug of war with London rivals West Ham over the La Liga ace.
It is understood that the Hammers have made a loan move for the 24-year-old, while Mauricio Pochettino is keen on a swoop to help bolster his midfield options.
The report details that Barcelona will demand a large loan fee for the Portugal international, but both English clubs will be encourage by the fact that they are willing to let him leave on a temporary departure.
Gomes is believed to be interested in a switch to the Premier League and could be in store for his first taste of English football.

He is recognised as a midfield enforcer that usually operates a box-to-box role and has both attacking and defensive traits.
The midfielder has great technical ability and also has a physical presence that could see him excel in the Premier League.
Gomes is very comfortable in possession and his best years so far have come during earlier spells with Benfica and Valencia.
Football Insider verdict:
Spurs could do with another body in the middle of the park if they can secure one on deadline day and Gomes would represent a good deal. The midfielder may have endured a difficult first season at Camp Nou, but he is still just 24 and has plenty of time to improve. He would help thicken up the options for Pochettino’s squad, something which needs doing due to a heavy fixture list in domestic and European competitions. Gomes is a technically capable player that should take the Premier League by storm and gives a slightly different edge to the likes of Victor Wanyama, Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier.
