Tottenham plot move to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi amid January reveal – Insider
Tottenham are considering a swoop to sign Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the club’s former scout.
Mick Brown, who also spent time as the chief scout at Man United and remains very well-connected within the game, exclusively told Football Insider that a number of clubs are keeping tabs on the winger after his impressive displays this season.
Football Insider revealed in July that Forest were set to demand £30million to sell the winger amid interest from Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Now, Brown has insisted that interest has lingered as they remain keen on strengthening their wide options to boost their chances of Champions League qualification.
Hudson Odoi, 23, has been one of the standout players in what has been a fantastic start to the season at the City Ground and has established himself as a crucial part of the team.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are currently third in the Premier League, behind Liverpool and Man City, after winning five, drawing four, and losing just one of their opening ten games.
However, their current success is said to have attracted interest in their top performers, among which Hudson-Odoi is at the top of the list.
Tottenham keeping tabs on Callum Hudson-Odoi progress
Since moving from Chelsea in 2023, Hudson-Odoi has scored ten goals and provided two assists in 45 appearances and has established his role as a regular in the starting XI.
Brown, who has maintained strong connections from his time at Spurs and has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment, has insisted that his performances have caught the eye of multiple clubs – although a January move is unlikely.
“His performances have caught the eye of a few clubs,” he told Football Insider.
“Tottenham were interested in him during the summer and I’m told that interest hasn’t faded as they would still like to sign a new winger.
“Of course, when a side like Forest, with all due respect, are performing above their usual level, the high-flying players start to attract interest.
“I wouldn’t expect a deal to happen in January, he’ll need to show this type of form over the course of a season, but there’s definite interest.
“I’m told a number of clubs have been keeping an eye on him and tracking his development.

“Tottenham feel they’re a couple of positions short of bridging the gap.
“Whether Hudson-Odoi is the right fit for them, that’s something they’ll be asking behind the scenes, but I know the initial interest is there.”
In other news, Bournemouth expect to receive bids for Spurs-linked Antoine Semenyo.
