Tottenham scouts are closely watching Morgan Gibbs-White after Nottingham Forest reveal – sources

Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of a potential summer deal, sources have told Football Insider.

The North London club have been scouting the 24-year-old midfielder regularly this season as well as multiple scouting missions last season.

Sources say that Gibbs-White is viewed as a Tottenham player with a skillset capable of playing at a Champions League-calibre club.

Spurs will monitor the situation of Gibbs-White with Forest facing a potential firesale this summer.

As revealed by Football Insider, Nottingham Forest could be forced to sell their five best players this summer if they are relegated or forced to sanction sales due to FFP demands.

Forest were given a four-point deduction earlier this week after a breach of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

They were charged with exceeding their allowable losses by £34.5million over a three-year period.

Forest have an opportunity to now appeal the decision, but sources have told Football Insider (21 March) that they are “highly unlikely” to rebut the charge.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have now dropped into the relegation zone following the deduction and Forest have just nine games remaining to secure their top-flight survival.

Forest signed Gibbs-White for a £42.5million fee in 2022 and he has scored nine goals and assisted 13 times for the club in 71 total appearances.
