Tottenham have confirmed that they will be without Victor Wanyama and Toby Alderweireld for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund.
Spurs announced on their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon that the senior duo are both sidelined with injuries and will take no part in the action at the Signal Iduna Park.

Alderweireld suffered a hamstring injury in Spurs’ last Champions League clash against Real Madrid at Wembley earlier this month while Wanyama has been out of action since August with a serious knee injury.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men have already secured qualification to the last 16 of the competition when they beat Madrid last time out but would no doubt want to finish top of the group by earning a win in Germany.
Dortmund have been on a rotten run of form as of late and have failed to win in their first four Champions League games this season.
Spurs didn’t quite get the rub of the green against Arsenal on Saturday but a game against the struggling Germans and then a Premier League clash against managerless West Brom seems like the perfect remedy to get back to winning ways.
Pochettino’s side beat Dortmund at Wembley 3-1 in September. Their last Champions League group stage game will be against APOEL Nicosia.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs have made an approach for an Everton attacker – but it’s not Ross Barkley.
