Tottenham set for future success by securing exit of attacking starlet

COMMENT
Tottenham could build a pathway to success if they allow attacking starlet Reo Griffiths to join RB Leipzig on loan.
The Mirror have claimed on their website that despite claims of a permanent exit of the 17-year-old, he will only be allowed to leave Spurs temporarily, with Mauricio Pochettino’s former scout at both Southampton and Tottenham, Paul Mitchell, eyeing up a move for his new club in Germany, having joined as head of recruitment.
While Griffiths has little chance of breaking into the senior squad in north London any time soon, perhaps Mitchell feels there is the chance of first team action at Leipzig, and that the young striker could help fill the gap with his mercurial talents.
While his own personal development would benefit from the playing time, the fact that Pochettino’s former man is high up the hierarchy at the Bundesliga club means that there could well be a possibility for an unofficial partnership between the two clubs.
While Mitchell is unlikely to be informing the Argentinian manager of which of the German club’s stars to poach, the former scout will know what Leipzig are looking for, and could well ask a favour from his former side to take some of their promising talents on a temporary basis.
It would mean that the German side get the necessary players in on a cheap basis, the youngsters get the playing time needed to help their development, and Pochettino knows that his future stars are in safe hands under the watchful eye of his former scout.
It is a way to help push Tottenham to success, building a platform which helps further the progress of their most promising talent and get ready for senior action in north London.
