Tottenham: Supercomputer makes historic relegation prediction
Tottenham Hotspur have been predicted to be relegated from the top flight of English football for the first time since 1977.
The Lilywhites are 18th in the Premier League, and lost 1-0 to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
Roberto De Zerbi was taking charge of his first game as Tottenham manager, but he encountered many of the same problems as those before him.
The North London club lacked threat and looked down and out when Nordi Mukiele’s second-half strike deflected off Micky Van de Ven and found the back of the net.
Tottenham’s horrific form has not seen them win a Premier League game since the end of December, with serious concerns being realised at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Sunday that Cristian Romero is set to leave Tottenham this summer, and the centre-back may have already played his last game.
The sight of the 27-year-old in tears as he walked off the pitch was a hugely concerning one, with the Lilywhites facing a nervous wait on the severity of his injury.

Romero was injured in a nasty collision with Antonin Kinsky, in a moment that, in many ways, has summed up Tottenham’s season.
It has been a train wreck from start to finish, with De Zerbi now hoping to avoid the tag of being the manager to have taken them down.
Sunday’s performance was better, in some respects, and Tottenham may well have walked away with something had they been on the end of more favourable refereeing decisions.
But ultimately, it is yet another defeat, and the visit of De Zerbi’s former team this week will not come at a good time. Brighton have won five of their last six games and are full of confidence.
Opta‘s supercomputer has now lost much of its hope, with Tottenham handed a 46.50 per cent chance of suffering a historic relegation, while West Ham’s win on Friday has seen their chance of the drop fall to 36.03 per cent.
It won’t get easier for Tottenham
Sunderland’s strong home record always promised a difficult trip to the Stadium of Light, and it is not going to get much easier.
In-form Brighton will attempt to worsen an already awful home record that would see Tottenham sit rock bottom in the Premier League if only home games were counted.
And difficult trips to Wolves, who have been resurgent at Molineux, and Aston Villa await, before Leeds United, Chelsea and Everton make up the final three.
Even the staunchest Tottenham fan would struggle to see even two wins from those six games, yet that may be the least of what is required to avoid a disastrous relegation.
