Tottenham tipped to accept £80m Harry Kane bid after what he’s told friends – pundit

Frank McAvennie has claimed Tottenham will sell Harry Kane for £80million.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said an £80m bid for Man United would be enough to convince Spurs to let go of their prize asset.

The 29-year-old will have a year left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the season.

But on Monday (3 April), this site revealed that the striker has told friends he won’t be signing a new deal with the London club.

Erik ten Hag has been eyeing up a move to bring the England international to Old Trafford in the summer in his hunt for a number nine.

According to the Daily Star (28 March), United are hopeful of agreeing an £80m deal for the striker.

Kane is also believed to be a target for Bayern Munich as well as Barcelona and Chelsea but Ten Hag is ready to begin negotiations for the forward’s services in the coming weeks.

When asked if Tottenham would be willing to accept £80m for Kane, McAvennie told Football Insider:I would think so.

He is getting on and I think Man United is on the up again and they have got a good manager.

Man United

I think he is probably what Man United need, they have not got a number nine.

[Marcus] Rashford can score goals but he is more left-sided. I just think Kane would be ideal for Man United. He won’t go to Man City, they do not need him.
