Tottenham told to deliver ‘big blow’ to Chelsea by pulling off ‘easy’ Rudiger signing – pundit
Frank McAvennie claims Antonio Rudiger would be a “brilliant” signing for Tottenham.
The former West Ham hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the defender will be open to the move.
This site revealed on Monday (20 December) that Tottenham will step up their bid to lure Rudiger from Chelsea this week amid intense competition from rival clubs.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season after being left insulted by Chelsea’s most recent offer.
Rudiger has played a key role at Chelsea this season, making 23 appearances in all competitions.
McAvennie insists Tottenham can’t do much better than Rudiger if they are looking to improve their defence.
“I think West Ham were wanting to sign him,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I said he would be an excellent signing for West Ham. He is very experienced and he has been brilliant this season.
“For those same reasons, I think he would be a brilliant signing for Tottenham.
“He’s big, strong, brilliant in the air. I really rate the guy. I think Chelsea losing him is a big blow for them.
“Tottenham’s defence needs improving and if they are trying to do that then I don’t see many better options than Rudiger.
“It’s easy for him too. He already lives in London so he won’t have to rip up his life to go to Tottenham.
“To be honest, that is one I can see happening.”

Rudiger can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs when the transfer window opens on 1 January.
He has made a total of172 appearances for the Blues.
