Why Pochettino would boost Tottenham title hopes with £19m-rated wonderkid

Mauricio Pochettino should look to continue his Tottenham revolution with a bid for Anderlecht’s free-scoring midfielder Youri Tielemans in the summer.
Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad claim that Tielemans would be available for just under £19million, as he continues to shine for Europa League outfit Anderlecht.
The midfielder is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest talents as he continues to inspire his boyhood club in the Belgian Jupiler League, who currently sit second.
Making his senior Belgium debut against the Netherlands back in November 2016, Tielemans stock has continued to rise and he should be targeted by Pochettino before another elite club snaps him up.
Possessing real pace in the middle of the park, Tielemans has the ability to drive his side forward with a long stride and darting runs, leaving opponents in his wake.

Under a manager like Pochettino, who is known for his faith in youth, Tielemans’ development to the top of European football would continue and boost Tottenham’s chances of securing the Premier League title they crave.
Spurs need to add real quality to their squad if they want to compete at home and in Europe next season.
That was evident after their fringe players failed to impress Pochettino in their 4-3 win over lowly Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Talking after the game, as quoted by ESPN, Pochettino said: “If you cannot play in this type of game, then we will have a problem.”
The Argentine manager has brought through the likes of Harry Winks during his tenure in north London, and Tielemans could benefit from Pochettino’s trust in young players.
Since his senior Anderlecht debut back in July 2013, Tielemans has already clocked up 163 league and cup appearances and that has seen him develop a maturity beyond his years.
His ability to play in a deeper midfield role or as a number 10 has seen him shine in the purple of Anderlecht, scoring 30 goals and providing another 24 assists.
At a bargain price of just under £19million, Tottenham must do all they can to persuade the two-time Belgium international to come to White Hart Lane.
