Tottenham transfer update: PL club prepare £110,000-a-week offer - report

Crystal Palace are set to offer their star man Wilfried Zaha a new contract to prevent Tottenham from signing him, according to a report.
The Daily Mirror claim that the Premier League club are prepared to offer a new £110,000-a-week deal to keep him at Selhurst Park.
It is understood that they are expected to offer him a new contract which matches what they already pay Christian Benteke.
The latest transfer update in Spurs pursuit of the 24-year-old will come as a blow as manager Mauricio Pochettino is known to be a big admirer.
The report details that Spurs had a £12million bid rejected last summer and that they are keen to return with a new offer at the end of this season.

Zaha has become pivotal to the Palace side this season and inspired a shock 2-1 away victory against Premier League leaders Chelsea on Saturday.
The winger has continued his development in recent years and is thriving on the right wing this campaign.
He has now made 28 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and supplying nine assists.
Football Insider verdict:
Spurs are likely to be held to ransom if Zaha is to force a move from Palace and they should consider another target. The decision to hand the winger a new mega £110,000-a-week deal shows they are not prepared to let him leave and view him as one of their most crucial player. Pochettino will need to bring in a few more attacking players if they want to regularly compete for the league title and should be looking for players with a higher calibre. Zaha has proven to be a decent performer in the top flight and is enjoying his best spell to date, but has not yet shown enough on a consistent basis to suggest he could break into Spurs’ starting line-up.
