Tottenham could lose to Chelsea because of these two players
COMMENT By Emma Sanders
Tottenham remain the only team in English football to avoid defeat so far this season but the performances of Diego Costa and Eric Dier could end that notable achievement on Saturday.
Chelsea host their London rivals at Stamford Bridge and it promises to be a thriller with both teams looking to secure victory as they race against each other to lift the Premier League title.
Dier, who has been playing at centre-back in Toby Alderweireld’s absence, must have a good game against Costa otherwise Chelsea could stroll to victory.
The Blues moved above Liverpool to reach the top of the table last Sunday when they took advantage of Jurgen Klopp’s side dropping two points against Southampton by defeating Middlesbrough 1-0.
Costa became the first player in the top flight to score 10 league goals this season after he netted against Boro and he poses the biggest threat to Tottenham on Saturday.

The Chelsea man has been in sensational form and, alongside Pedro and Hazard, the Blues attack could overwhelm Tottenham’s inexperienced defence.
The loss of Alderweireld at centre-back is huge for Tottenham, who crave his composure and leadership for the fixture against Chelsea.
Instead Dier, who looked worrying poor during Tuesday’s loss to Monaco, will be up against some of the best attackers in the league and Spurs are further weakened by Danny Rose’s injury.
England international Dier might be a defender by trade but at times he has looked wobbly since returning back to the position and he will need to be far better than he was in midweek if Spurs are not to be overwhelmed by Costa and company.
After moving to the top and winning their last six league games without conceding a goal, Chelsea will be full of confidence whereas Spurs have held on in recent weeks, picking up four draws and just one victory in their last five league games.
